Our beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired plenary Word Of God, His revelation to man and inerrant in the original writings. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine, faith and life.
We believe that God is: omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one in essence and power.
God the Father is the Administrative Head of the Trinity. We believe: He chose us in Christ; He gave and sent His Son for us; and He sent the Holy Spirit
Concerning Jesus, we believe: in His deity; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His substitutionary atonement; in His physical resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of God; in His imminent return; in His visible, bodily return to the earth to establish His kingdom.
Concerning the Holy Spirit, we believe: He is a Person; He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; He regenerates sinners; He permanently indwells and seals each believer; He enlightens, instructs and guides believers; He empowers believers for Godly living and worship; He sovereignly bestows gifts for the equipping of the saints for Christian service.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. In Adam, mankind fell and inherited a sinful nature, becoming enemies of God. Therefore, man is totally depraved being utterly unable to remedy his lost condition
We believe that salvation is received by grace alone through faith alone in the person of Jesus Christ.
We believe that Satan is a spiritual being, a fallen angel, the prince of demons, the god of this age, the great enticer and deceiver, the adversary of Christ and His people and the accuser of the brethren and that his final destiny is the Lake of Fire.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all – believers to eternal life in Heaven and unbelievers to judgment and everlasting punishment in Hell.
We believe that the soul of every believer is, at death absent from the body and present with the Lord.
We believe that the soul of every unbeliever after death remains in conscious torment awaiting the second resurrection at which they will appear at the Great White Throne Judgment. They shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, eternally out of the presence of the Lord to suffer everlasting, conscious punishment.
We believe every believer makes up the Body of Christ, which was established on the Day of Pentecost. All believers from Pentecost to the Rapture are added to the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Body of Christ is manifested through the local church which is a congregation of baptized believers associated by unity of faith and fellowship of the Gospel. The practice of this church is to observe the ordinances of Christ, be governed by His laws and exercise the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.
We believe that the gift of tongues was, like the gifts of apostleship and prophecy, given for the founding of the Church. While we recognize that God may give any gift to the church at any time, we believe that the resurgent practice of prophecy, tongues and healing as they are currently practiced is not scriptural.
We believe the two ordinances that Christians are commanded to observe are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe that baptism has no saving merit. It is our conviction that after one is saved, baptism is the next step in order to portray to the world the believer’s union with Christ. It is our conviction that the scriptural mode of baptism is immersion. It is to be observed but once and is a sign of unification, and a testimony to newness of life.
We believe Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper to commemorate His death until He comes. It is to be observed as a memorial of His body and shed blood. Also, it is a celebration of anticipation of His return and we will partake of it with Him in Heaven.
We believe that it is the obligation of the saved to witness by life and by word the truths of the Holy Scriptures. It is the duty and privilege of the church to take the Word of God to the entire world using Biblically sound methods. We further believe that it is the responsibility of the church to pray for laborers to be sent to the mission fields, to support them financially, and to pray for their ministry and safety.

Our pastor
Pastor Caleb Kelly has been with us since the beginning of 2018. He and his wife, Martha, met at New Brunswick Bible Institute where they both studied. After graduating, they were married and have been serving the Lord since in Nova Scotia.
Our story
Crossroads Baptist Church began in the late 80s in a home not far from where the church building is today. Since then, We've met at the local fire hall until the Lord blessed us with the building we have now. We are a small congregation that enjoys fellowshipping and worshipping our Lord.
Our goal
We at Crossroads seek to fulfill the call of God in our lives to worship him as redeemed sinners. We desire to praise a Holy God who sent his son to save us.
